The University of Charleston maintains a strong athletic department, and wanted to upgrade their facilities to better provide for their student athletes. Construction of the Welch Athletic Complex began at the end of the 2019 baseball season, and needed to be completed by the start of the fall semester–– giving Pray only four months to complete this project. The new complex included reorienting the existing fields for to make room for new baseball, soccer, and lacrosse fields, installing new LED sports lighting, constructing a new press box, locker rooms, and concession stand, and installing over 190,000 square feet of new turf. Pray completed this project on time, just in time for the start of the fall season!
