Dickenson County Courthouse
Under a court order by the Virginia Supreme Court, Dickenson County was required to build a new courthouse with a limited budget, very specific design parameters and a tight calendar. County officials took advantage of new legislation which allowed them to utilize a design build project delivery method. They were able to keep this project in the $8 million range while adding back into the project features they wanted, such as a terrazzo floor. The three-story, new construction project has two beautiful court rooms, secured access for judges and prisoners, improved and secure public space for district and circuit court offices, on a significantly improved site with additional parking.
Listen to Freddie Mullins “Pray Construction’s attention to detail is like no other company I have worked with on a construction project. We had milestones to meet and Pray finished those ahead of schedule. And no savings was too small for them to bring to us.”
Mr. Freddie Mullins
Attorney, Industrial Development Authority of Dickenson County, Virginia
Listen to David Moore “They treated this project like it was their project. I don’t know what else you can ask out of a contractor. We went from a vision to completion, just as planned. I would work them anytime on any project. Anyone who can tackle a judical building like this, can build anything.”
Mr. David Moore
County Administrator, Dickenson County, Virginia
